You are confused
Your mind is bursting with questions, ideas, concepts, labels and stories, and you are completely overwhelmed by it all. What does it mean? Who am I? Where am I supposed to go? I’m like this, or like that. I had a tough childhood, because.... Whaaa!!
You struggle with authenticity
You force yourself in certain directions, because you believe that’s how it’s done, not because you really want to. This dynamic causes you to push passed your limits. You tend to sacrifice what you want and need for somebody else. You play different roles with different people. There are parts of you that you disapprove off, and as a result you’ve been pushing these aspects of yourself in a dark little corner, denying their presence.
You are very emotional
You are not aware of your feelings & needs, because you are not present.
This makes it difficult for you to acknowledge how you feel, and decide what the next right move is. When you are not present your emotional reactions are an (unconscious) reaction to the world around you, causing you to feel emotionally unstable and unbalanced.
Your life just feels heavy
Did you ever try to keep a cork under water? It’s difficult. That’s what life often feels like to you. You could also say you are trying to swim upstream. Everything you do takes a lot of effort and energy. You experience tension, stress, anxiety, and you often feel (emotionally) drained and tired, without getting the results you really want and need.
